(: (: (: They advertise the IPC as a color workstation either with a 200MB disk ($9995) or diskless ($8995), including Color Frame Buffer and monitor. They don't seem to sell it without the CFB, though. Wonder why... If all you need is monochrome, and you want 2 free S-Bus slots (:, just pull out the CFB, plug a mono monitor into the motherboard video connector (with suitable adaptors), setenv sbus-probe-list 0312, and voila! a sort-of-SLC-with-Sbus-and-disk! But seriously, though, has anyone with an IPC figured out how to enable BOTH the CFB and built-in MFB at the same time, thereby making a dual- headed machine for the mere price of an additional mono monitor? + USMail: Ken Stamm | Email: + Shearson Lehman Brothers Inc. | + 390 Greenwich Street - 4West | + New York NY 10013 | {...sun!gotham | ...marob!} \ + Voice: (212)341-3868 | !slhisc!doc!ken + Fax: (212)528-0101 |
