According to my system adminiatrator, installing the IPC requires that you dedicate an IP network address to the IPC card and the host sun. He thinks that that an address may not be available. Please help by answering the following questions. 1) Does an IP network address have to be dedicated? What if the IPC card will only be accessed from the sun in which it resides? 2) Is the IPC a good solution for accessing ms-dos (on Sun-3)?
