I want to buy Sparcstation IPCs, but I need a single VME slot for each machine. The lowest-priced Sparcstation with a VME chassis (Sun-4/330) is out of the price range. If I can't get a VME slot into an IPC, I will have to buy some other workstation in the same price range that offers a VME bus, or roll my own system with a Sun 4E board. I am looking at the S-BUS to VME adapters made by Bit-3, among others. As far as I have been able to determine, the Bit-3 one is the only one that is actually shipping. Does anyone have one of these adapters *installed and working* ?? If so, please respond by e-mail. I need to decide within three weeks, so the quicker the better. Thanks!
