Finally getting fed up with the limitations of LaTeX pictures I picked
up `epic' and `eepic' from the Aston archive, however the transfig
package when told to generate epic or eepic for figures containing
shaded polygons produces commands such as \texture which the version
of {e}epic I have does not understand. Is transfig being optimistic
or is there a more powerful version of {e}epic around?

[ I tried to mail Conrad Kwok at the address given in the eepic
  documentation, but couldn't get through. Sorry for asking what is
  probably a sily question ]
