In a nutshell, we are considering a new scheme: require the distributor of the proprietary executable to make the source to OUR library available along with the OBJECT files for the rest of the application. This way users can still benefit from updates, fixes and improvements to the GNU library without being dependent on the distributor. "Spend YOUR time finding and fixing our bugs and then relinquish ALL control of your fixes to US." So you want to spend x hours fixing bugs and then make 100 other people do the same thing? What a completely selfish attitude. Do you think we are GETTING RICH doing this? We want to help the maximum number of people get high quality software for free.
