(PC) Message-ID: <0005.9010101940.AA05706@ubu.cert.sei.cmu.edu> Date: 6 Oct 90 13:33:45 GMT Sender: Virus Discussion List Lines: 11 Approved: krvw@sei.cmu.edu I recently discovered an unknown file in my root directory called MEM-STAT.SYS. What disturbed me was that it had a System attribute, and could not be copied or deleted until that was changed. I don't remember putting it there or seeing it before, or any recent share- ware that contained such a file. Viewing with browse revealed some statements about chip speed, memory size. The file was 600+ bytes. Does anyone recognize this file? Thanks in advance. - -- Michael Volow, Psychiatry, Durham VA Med Center, Durham NC 27712 919 286 0411 Ext 6933 mvolo@ecsvax.edu
