Lines: 31 I'm having trouble setting up my modem. I have a US Robotics 2400 modem and can set it to com[1..4] irq=[3,4,5,7]. Apparently, there are conflicts with com1 and com2 (my mouse is in com2). I can use Telix in com3 with irq=5 (these parameters can be set in Telix). However, I'm unable to use other communications programs (Unicom, WinQVT, WinComm) apparently because they make some assumptions about the irq for com3; only telix allows you to specify the irq. Even altering the system.ini file for the various irq setttings and disabling com1 does not help (except for Telix). SYSINI: Default: COM1Irq=4; COM2Irq=3; COM3Irq=4; COM4Irq=3 SYSINI: MODIFIED: COM1Irq=-1; COM2Irq=3; COM3Irq=[3,4,5,7]; COM4Irq=3 The only way I can run the other communications programs it to: (1) start Telix which initializes the modem, (2) run another program (WinComm), (3) answer the WINDOWS3 warning "Yes I do wish to reassign com3 from DOS to Windows", (4) exit WinComm, and (5) exit Telix. Question: How can I run WinComm (or another Windows communication program) in com3? Thanks for any help!
