Get the book *X Window System Toolkit* by Paul Asente & Ralph Swick.
Digital Press, ISBN 1-55558-051-3 or Prentice-Hall, ISBN
0-13-972191-6.  It includes excelent tutorials on writing Xt
applications and widgets, as well as an enhanced version of the MIT Xt
specification.
