It seems to be the recently created newsgroups that are the main source of the problem -- I just added the sub., dnet. and eunet. groups, and alt.desert-shield was just created, and those are the ones with the problem. My nntpd is running suid root, as it apparently needs to be, and I just changed relaynews to be suid news. Is that what I need to do, or is there anything else I need to do?
