Do you think >that the MMT Studio arm (apparently quite new) would be a good match? i prefer the mkIII over the IV. i've had a III for about 2.5 years now and am VERY happy with it. The SME IV arm (with the SME V interconnect cable) is a good combination. The IV has the following differences: o hard platter, not the traditional sticky mat of oracles o heavier clamp (now i thought that the clamping action was acheived by the screw action, so the heavier clamp must 'centre' the mass) [The old clamp flexed. -tjk] o AC motor (this might be an option only) i demoed the IV with a koestu black and a sme iv through spectral pre and power and logan CLS's. (my usual is meitner and shinon, same speakers) i found the IV to be very cold. the detail was much better on MARI (three blind mice records) but i did not get the sense of presence that i am used to on that recording. to top it off, i think that the delphi III looks a lot better than the IV.
