As I remember, this is a rich fudge but not as airy as one with marshmallows (but I suppose they could just be added at the end.) In a heavy saucepan combine: 2 heaping cups white sugar (I'm going to guess it at 2 cups + 1 T) 2 tablespoons cocoa 2 tablespoons light corn syrup dash of salt 1 cup heavy cream Bring the above ingredients to boil. Cook until they reach soft ball stage (234 to 240 F) Remove from heat and add the following: 1 cup nut pieces 1 tablespoon butter or margarine 1 teaspoon vanilla Stir to combine then pour out on a buttered pan and let cool until hardened.
