(Forgive the bandwidth consumed too.) I just obtained BI Quatro-Pro which uses Hershey (fonts) and Bitstream type- face fonts. The package includes/d many Bitstream fonts but I am looking for other typefaces to add to what I now have. As I understand (it), BI's BSINST(.EXE) takes .SFO files and (via its own magic) makes .FON files which can then be used with the program(s). Question 1. : Is this an accurate conclusion (i.e., .SFO --> .FON)? Question 2. : Is there a "Public Domain" source of .SFO files that are Bitstream equivalent? Is this source available via *ftp* so I can pick-them-up relatively easily (and if so, what is the Internet address)? Question 3. : If they aren't available "PD" or *ftp*, what is the usual cost for "a batch of fints"? Question (Last) : Are Hershey fonts (less flexible from what I can gather) available (Public Domain) via FTP (and if so, where)? I read this notes group relatively regularly (but not with complete comp- rehension) but can't be sure that I will get messages posted here. E-Mail to the address below is (more-or-less) certain but posts to this notes group won't be rejected :). Thanks (in advance). David Schrader schrader@loligo.cc.fsu.edu
