It is in every suppliment that I've seen for the printer. It certainly was in the docs for the PS-810. For the life of me, I cannot see why one should want to disable it. On the PS-810, it prints out the configuration of the machine, as to which i/o mode it is using, and the number of pages printed. I depend on it to help me do job billings, and make life easier in general, so I don't try to print postscript when it is in LaserJet mode etc. etc. The pages also make a handy useage log.
