I am currently working on a directed study to merge ka9q and Minix386 v1.5. The project will be interesting, and I have been working on it, though at sometimes rather slowly. To whomever asked about the Western Digital 7000fast SCSI Host adapter. WD has a documentation phone line at 1-800-832-4778. You're best to call with a touch-tone phone. I have asked them to send me the OEM manual, which they claim has the needed technical info. When I get it, and subsequently the board, I'll try to modify the SCSI driver I have in my Minix286 v1.5 and see if it works. Right now the driver is written for an NCR ADP-31A which I think is defective (and very obsolete) and as such isn't working. I can talk to the drive, but even the built in BIOS chip won't work in a DOS environment. I had school put the drives onto one of our sunstation File Servers, and they said the drives were OK, so I think it is the Host adapter. mike.irons%lynx@helios.northeastern.edu
