I do have to quit the term program to prevent it from fighting for the serial port, but the line is not dropped. I suspect that you need to change the DTR setting on your modem so that it doesn't drop the connection. Then, you should be able to dial with Kermit or FreeTerm, quit and then run Telnet. It sure would be nice if someone hacked a dialing utility into the Cisco hacked Telnet. Oh well, what can we expect for nothing? :)
