Message-ID: <9010130721.AA25518@lilac.berkeley.edu> Date: 12 Oct 90 18:12:46 GMT Sender: daemon@ucbvax.BERKELEY.EDU Reply-To: Kevin Pickard Organization: The Internet Lines: 27 I am looking for the interface specification to the 802.2 LLC layer on PCs when talking to token-ring or ether- net cards. It seems that nobody knows this information. I have tried calling various card manufacturers, including Proteon, 3Com and IBM, and they are either unable or unwil- ling to help me. In particular, I need to know the following: - What is the format of the paramter block for all the 802.2 commands (ie. Open, Transmit, Receive, Open.SAP, etc.) - What registers need to be setup before the call. - What is the interrupt that is called. If anyone knows how this interface works or knows where I can get some documentation on it could they please send me some Email? Thanks in advance. -- ---------------------------------- ~~~~~~~ ----------------------------------- If life was software I would just | o o | Kevin Pickard reset this year and start again! | . | UUCP: ...!uunet!mnetor!perle!kevin ------------------------------^^^-----------^^^-------------------------------
