Try these....

   The earlier version of the manual...  "IBM Token Ring
   Network, Architecture Reference" had a strange document
   number....      "6165877". 

   This has been replaced by  SC30-3374-2....same title.

You may also want to get SC30-3383-2  Local Area Network
Technical Reference"
