Will the IPPROTO_RAW work as delivered? I noticed that the docs for traceroute indicate a mod to the BSD kernel's raw IP output routine is required, but I have no clue as to whether the same is true for System V/3.2.2. On execution, I get SO_SNDBUF: Bad protocol option, which would lead me to believe that there is some lower-lever work needed. Of course, if I #undef SO_SNDBUF, the code runs, but all I see are lines with "* * *". Failing that, does anyone know where I might find a version of traceroute already written for System V machines?
