There is, however, a publically available package that monitors ethernet traffic and displays header fields. It's called "Netwatch". According to RFC 1147, Netwatch is available as a utility program in the pcip distribution from host husc6.harvard.edu, in directory pub/pcip. Its also available as a standalone package from windom.ucar.edu, in file pc/network/netwatch.arc. (A binary "dearc" program is also available from windom.ucar.edu.)
