The "institutional educational" price is around $3300. That's monochrome and no disk. (You do get thick ether, scsi, 2 serial, 1 parallel, mouse and keyboard.) That's also without a tape or floppy drive. And, most importantly, it doesn't include a RTU license for SunOS (and the RTU price doesn't include a physical copy of the software or the manual set).
