I'm considering wiring an interface, and writing a driver so that the Amiga can use an IBM IDE controller much the same way PaloMAX allows the use of RLL and MFM controllers. If its any encouragement, I plan on releasing the drivers and interface to the public domain, if possible. An added advantage is that I should even be able to get the 1.44 Meg 3 1/2 drives to work using the same controller, though probably a different driver. So, if you can get me any information on this, please do. Eric J. Schwertfeger, maniac@jimi.cs.unlv.edu
