Absolutely.  Fast RAM on the A3000 is 32 bits wide.  This means that with
256Kx4 or 1Mx4 bit chips, you have to intall 8 chips to get 32 bit wide RAM.
The minimum upgrade is 1 megabyte with 256Kx4 chips and 8 megabytes with 1Mx4
chips.  It's in the owner's manual for the A3000.
