Several fonts that I had just added did not show up. I tried DeluxePaint-III, FontWorks, ProWrite, and WB2.0:Prefs/Fonts. Running FixFonts didn't help. Finally I did "list >prt:" and noticed that all the missing fonts were at the end of the listing. There were more than 128 *.font files (and the same number of directories). It looks like several different font requesters give up after the 256th file in the FONTS: directory. After moving the cmr* fonts to another directory, I now have only 119 *.font files and 120 directories. Now all the fonts are usable. -- Joe Smith (408)922-6220 | SMTP: jms@tardis.tymnet.com or jms@gemini.tymnet.com BT Tymnet Tech Services | UUCP: ...!{ames,pyramid}!oliveb!tymix!tardis!jms PO Box 49019, MS-C41 | BIX: smithjoe | 12 PDP-10s still running!
