So now the Atari users, who are enjoying the use of PC-Ditto and software Macintosh emulators are getting ready to prevent other people from doing the same thing on other computers??? I don't believe this. Haven't we learned anything from the GNU/Macintosh debates? The entire reason GNU has stuff out for Atari and NOT for Mac is because Apple is so sue-happy that GNU felt it a waste of time to port it onto a computer which is run by such a haughty company (this is just my interpretation of it - I am sure that if someone stated only the facts over this debate, which took place quite a few years ago, other interpretations can be made). And why would it hurt Atari if Amiga users were running Atari programs on it? All that would do is increase the popularity of the ST - more people would be using it, and perhaps buying software for it, and maybe even WRITING software for it!!! This sort of behaviour should be encouraged, don't you think? I think Atari should be flattered that Amiga users are going through SO MUCH TROUBLE to run the awesome programs available on their (our) wonderful machine!!! -- |S.
