You'll have to pull the drive.  Call your field servoid if you have a
contract -- they hate it when you open the box.  If you don't have a
contract, yank it apart and work the mechanism by hand until you find
the lever that releases the tape lock.  It's not hard, most TK50 owners
around here do this about once a month, if they got an early drive.
