I called Creative Labs and was told that they are offering upgrades to Gameblaster purchasers. If you mail them a copy of your receipt you can purchase the Soundblaster for $149.00. If you return the Gameblaster card, you can purchase the Soundblaster for $139.00 (might as well keep the card for ten bucks - the CMS301 chip set in the Gameblaster is a $29.95 option on the Soundblaster). My question is: Is this a good deal? How much do Soundblaster cards sell for from Mail-order companies? I know that the suggested retail price is $239.95. Other info from Creative Labs: Due out in a month or so is a music composer for the Soundblaster called Musician I. Selling price will be $79.95. It's supposed to allow you to graphically edit music scores (WYSIWYG) and allow you to print scores on your laser or dot-matrix. Thanks! Chance Geurin N.O.S.C. geurin@cod.nosc.mil
