This is not exactly the end of the world but.....


If you have MS Mail (client) up and running on your Mac
and also have HyperCard in the foreground, then receive
a piece of mail....the normal warning tone come on and 
stays on until you quit hypercard.  Very annoying but 
you never miss a piece of mail.
