Summary: Anything besides AppleTalk Ethernet Router? Keywords: LaserWriter AppleTalk EtherNet Message-ID: Date: 16 Oct 90 03:19:14 GMT Sender: news@cs.UAlberta.CA (News Administrator) Organization: University of Alberta, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada Lines: 14 We have a Mac IIx with an EtherNet card, and a LaserWriter II attached to the LocalTalk port. I need to make the LaserWriter visible to a unix machine on the EtherNet, without actually installing a dedicated bridge. I have been told that Apple's AppleTalk-Ethernet Router will do this (installed on Mac II), but wish for a cheaper solution (it is CDN$400). For example, can the product Liason do the same thing? I will summarise any replies and repost them to this group. Thanks, -- W.
