For what it's worth-- We got a PL635 600 Mbyte external from
Peripheral Land Inc of Fremont, Calif. Believe it's based on the
CDC Wren series, whatever that's called now. Worked fine for a few
weeks (very hard use). Stopped. Called up and had a replacement
in less than a week (didn't actually push it at all). Replacement
had new driver-- plug and play on a Mac II and a Mac IIfx. Has
external dip switches to control termination. Guess we'll know in
a while whether or not we're really happy with it.
