Message-ID: <1990Oct17.222647.1433@eddie.mit.edu> Date: 17 Oct 90 22:26:47 GMT Organization: MIT Lines: 25 Greetings, netfolk! I find myself unsure as to whether I should lay out between $3500 and $4000 for a Mac IIsi setup, or should upgrade my SE to an SE/30 at a cost of between $2000 and $2500. I humbly request your opinions on the following questions: 1) Which is faster, a IIsi or SE/30 (each with FPU)? 2) What are my options for color monitors for the SE/30? I see a lot of Radius cards, but they all appear to be monochrome. Is there a PDS card to allow an SE/30 to drive an Apple color monitor (either 13" or 12"). 3) Are there any other significant differences between the two models that I should consider in making my choice? Please e-mail replies to me -- I'll post a summary if I get enough requests for one. Thanx in advance, Warren J. Madden rabbit@eddie.mit.edu
