Actually, the Macintosh LC is available in limited quanity now, and will be available in volume in late January. It is 2,400 SRP (that is suggested retail price, your street price may vary) for the Macintosh LC with 2MB of memory, 40MB of hard drive, and a keyboard. You can go with a mono monitor for $299 SRP or a color monitor for $599 SRP. The Apple //e card is $198, so I don't know where you came up with the $1000 figure.
