Thanks everyone who responded either by mail or by news
to my original posting. Since so many of the responses have
been by posting, I've decided to not post the responses that
I have received by mail; if you want them drop me a note
and I'd be glad to email them to you.

BTW, I discovered that the $1350 that the University of
Chicago wants for the Classic 2/40 includes your choice
of either MacWrite II, WordPerfect, or Microsoft Word
(academic version). So it's not as much of a gouge as I
had thought. Still, considering that it's about $200 higher
than some of the other schools, it's not as good as it could
be. [Insert standard gripe here about the university going to
the dogs.]
