Okay, so everything listed here *is* cheaper at CMU, but I don't know
how your school funds the campus Computer Store, so this may not be as
raw as you think.

Also, it used to be that many NYC computer places had ads like:
MAC PLUS $447* [or something]

Then whisper:
* when purchased with an ImageWriter II [which you're paying list for, sucker.]

[And they don't print the stuff in brackets]
