I am interested in adding a GOOD portrait (full-page) display to an SE/30.

(1)  I am thinking of Apple's Portrait Display (PD), being told that
     it is of good quality (and its price just dropped).
(2)  If I have understood things correctly, there is no Apple video
     card to drive the Apple PD from the SE/30.
(3)  I even heard some rumors that this Apple/Mac combination is
     bound to cause trouble.

Questions:

(4)  To what extent are the above statements correct?
(5)  What other brand video cards would do a good job with Apple's PD?
(6)  How many grey levels do they provide?
(7)  Ever heard of Stebis video cards?
