Lines: 20 We have been plagued with this kernel crash from time to time after we upgraded our 400 machine from 2.01.01 to 3.00.01. The full message printed on the console is: OS: HALT: Modified Page Removal Failed TO FIX: See System Message Manual. OS-17508 Then the kernel stops, and the machine must be rebooted. Pretty annoying. I don't have this 'System Message Manual', what does it say? Is this a known problem, perhaps I simply can order a patch? Oh, and by the way: The machine has 4Mb of physical memory. MAXUMEM is set to 4096 in the kernel configuration, the crash seems to happen when we have processes running with a virtual size of a couple of megabytes. -- Robert Andersson Voice +47 2 371055 International Systems A/S ra@intsys.no Fax +47 2 356448 P.O.
