If anyone is interested in a Unix (well, SunOS -- the Unix talk
protocol is hardware specific ... wonderful) compatible talk program
for Medley, I have one.  It's modified from something I received from
someone at Cambridge (UK), to whom credit is due, but I've lost their
name.
