We have encountered a problem with ld on AIX 1.2 on the PS/2.
A certain command like:

	cc  -o executable  <approx 15 .a's and .o's>

results in the error messages:

ld warning: memory allocation failure on 1668284418-byte 'calloc' call
ld fatal:  run is too large and complex
*** Error code 1

Comments anybody?  (Except, of course, decrease the number of .a's)
