Keywords: ESIX, modem Message-ID: <15316@hydra.gatech.EDU> Date: 16 Oct 90 20:39:08 GMT Followup-To: Poster Distribution: usa Organization: Georgia Institute of Technology Lines: 18 I am running ESIX REV C on an Everex 386is with an Everex magic I/O card. I have been using a Multitech 224E modem with MNP5 and a 9600 Data Over voice Modem. I have had a problem trying to download at speeds above 2400. I use rz under Pcomm to download. If the speed is 2400 or less I never get a bad packet, but at 9600 or when using MNP5 I get more bad packets than good. I have Pcomm configured for N81, but when I log on to the other computer I seem to be using E71. I know this because when logging in at N81 the first few lines always look like garbage, under UNIX at 9600 the lines look fine. If I am using Procom or Telix under DOS It works fine at any speed. If anyone can help me please E-mail me at gt2186a@hydra.gatech.edu -- COBIA,FRANK NAYLOR Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta Georgia, 30332 uucp: ...!{allegra,amd,hplabs,ut-ngp}!gatech!prism!gt2186a Internet: gt2186a@prism.gatech.edu
