It is LAT-11 Server Version 1.3 protocol version 5.0 Turns it into a 64 line terminal server. It was supported by DEC but was dropped a couple of years ago. Up to Ultrix 3.0 all was well. On later versions including 4.0 we get LAT errors and the session terminated. on 3.0 no errors on 3.1D error is LAT - Node Protocol Error - credits on 4.0 error is LAT - Node stopped circuit This is confusing when it appears LAT has not been revised. 3.0 lcp -d LAT version: 5 eco: 1 LAT Protocol is active >3.0 lcp -d LAT version: 5 eco: 1 LAT Protocol is active We can still connect to VAX'es running up to VMS V5.3. If anybody out ther is still using this successfully we'd like to know. We have two other 11's we were going to convert. Gives us 3*64 ethernet lines saving A$60000 odd.
