Message-ID: <4777@tahoe.unr.edu> Date: 18 Oct 90 00:19:54 GMT Sender: news@tahoe.unr.edu Reply-To: malc@unrvax.unr.edu (Malcolm L. Carlock) Organization: University of Nevada, Reno Lines: 19 A few months ago there was some discussion in this group about a bug in the paging algorithm of the MIPS version of Ultrix. Reports were that the bug tended with a frequency that varied more or less inversely with the amount of memory in the machine. Word also was that the bug seemed to be fairly well-known, but the DEC wasn't moving very fast toward acknowledging it. Does anyone know if a fix for this bug is now available? What DEC's position is on it? Please email any responses to me at the address below. Our newsfeed has been acting up lately, and I'm afraid I might miss any responses that are posted. Thanks in advance. Malcolm L. Carlock Internet: malc@unrvax.unr.edu UUCP: uunet!unrvax!malc
