Haugh II) Followup-To: poster Organization: Lone Star Cafe and BBS Service Lines: 15 X-Clever-Slogan: Recycle or Die. i just installed an archive vp402 qic-02 tape drive controller card and have found this wonderful problem. i am running sco xenix 2.2.3. certain tape commands are supposed to work without waiting for the current tape operation to complete. however, this doesn't always happen and the tape command hangs up. when this happens often the system will magically reboot itself as soon as the current tape operation completes. please reply to my address as i don't generally frequent this newsgroup. -- John F.
