The Adaptec is set up as if it were to be the primary controller (IO at 330, IRQ 11, DMA 5) but the BIOS is disabled. I suggest that the setup be tested first with the BIOS and floppy enabled (if 1542[ab]) and the primary controller removed so that the on-board utility can be used. If there is no entry for a HD at ID 0, controller 0, LUN 0 the kernel fails to build; apparently a physical hard drive is not required. -- Mike Squires (mikes@iuvax.cs.indiana.edu) 812 855 3974 (w) 812 333 6564 (h) mikes@iuvax.cs.indiana.edu 546 N Park Ridge Rd., Bloomington, IN 47408 Under construction: mikes@sir-alan@cica.indiana.edu
