Sorry to bother all once again, but I received no replies to previous posts...

Specifically:
  "The COM3 port is currently assigned to a DOS application. Do you want to re-
   assign the port to Windows?"

  "Communication port is already open
     COM3"

are the error messages I encounter when trying to run Wincomm.  I know there
were solutions discussed here a few months ago, but my memory fails. My modem
is located at 3E8H, IRQ 4. Could someone mail/post the few lines which I think
I remember are needed in the win/system.ini files?
