Since its main use would be to access a VAX running VMS and only occasionally some sparcstations, I am tempted to get a VT1200, but I am hesitant given some of the comments posted on this newsgroup. Here are some of the questions I have: 1. Is the VT1200 significantly faster than the VT1000 to the point that its speed is now "acceptable/reasonable"? 2. According to the review of X terminals published on UNIX World the V191 by HDS seems to be a very good buy. Any experiences out there with DECwindows? 3. Are there any serious problems with either one of these units? How about others? Its typical use of this X terminal would be for display of 2d plots (some 3d) and general programming/text editing. Thank you for all your comments in advance. -- Leonardo Topa
