I am trying to change the fonts used by the window manager and my own Motif Applications. To the Xdefaults file I added the following lines: *fonts: '-adobe-courier-bold-o-normal--14-140-75-75-m-90-iso8859-1' *fn: '-adobe-courier-bold-o-normal--14-140-75-75-m-90-iso8859-1' The second line might be redundant, but what the heck. After looking thru the X Toolkit Intrinsics Programming Manual from O'Reilly, I checked for the fonts.dir files in /usr/lib/X11/fonts/75dpi and 100dpi, the permissions where 'rw' by the owner, so I changed it to 'rwx' by the world. This had no effect. If I do a xset query the font directories are in the path. ? Is something special needed in the application(s) or am I over-looking the obvious. Please respond via comp.windows.x because SCO's mail is not the best in the world. Thanks Alan Anderson @United Dominion Buildings 6000 Poplar Ave, Suite 400 Memphis, TN 38119 (901) 762-6068
