You use a modem with the software and it will: Send or receive calls from a phone and tell you by flashing the screen or a lamp that the phone is ringing. A hearie's spoken words are coverted to print on your screen (or they type on the phone dial, I think I saw it both ways). Your typed message is coverted to spoken words for the hearie. I am to recieve a loaned copy fof the program to see if I like it. If yes, i will buy it.
