I have never heard the Audio Advisor mod to the adcom amp, but I have
had bad experiences with the company (assuming it is the same as the
mail order accessories place)-- c.f. an earlier controversy about them
in this forum which is not worth rehashing.
  On the other hand, my Adcom GFA-555 was modified by Musical Concepts,
and I am delighted with the results. Much more "musical", smoother top
end (much smoother-- the amp no longer has that Adcom glare), better
soundstaging, better bass, you name it, it's better. A bargain at twice
the price.
