Being african, I experience routine discrimination in most areas of my life. I'd like it to stop. Does wanting a fair share of the pie amount to "blackism", analogous to feminism? I don't think so, so I've stopped calling myself a feminist (or blackist). I'm not pro-black, I'm anti-bias. Ditto for gender issues. I invite comments on definitions of feminism and whether the analogous statements in racial terms make me a blackist. Jones Physics Dept. Caltech
