I want something to (routinely) pull out Have you checked with your friendly system guru manager for UNIX commands? I use the UNIX GREP command on our vax to search large (> 1meg) files and locate the line number. I then generate a temporary file containing the large file and delete everything upto that line number and everything after the last line of the reference. I then download to my MAC and edit for my bibliography. This is combersome but relatively fast.
