pardon me for being naive, but what has intel gained
from this partnership?  Improved design, does intel get
all the improvements AMD may have made? 

Does anyone think that a i386 compatible chip
will sell if it is called something like lxmn757 (or anything 
else that does not have "386" in it) ?
